Below is a brief description of the position available at Jerod Scheetz State Farm.  This is an outline of the responsibilities and expectations for the position as well as an overview of some of the tasks involved.  

The Opportunity- The in-office sales associate position at Jerod Scheetz State Farm has many opportunities for both long term financial security as well as job advancement.  This position gives sales professionals access to the biggest and best insurance company with the best customer service reputation in the country.  Selling State Farm products gives you un- matched brand recognition which will give you an instant advantage over the competition.  Our sales force is energetic and motivated, our team is high performing and professional.  

Objective: Expand our customer base by bringing in new business and protecting people with all lines of State Farm products.  

Expectations/Responsibilities

As a sales representative at Jerod Scheetz State Farm, you’re responsible for bringing in new clients and selling all lines of insurance and financial services.  You will have sales expectations each month that you are expected to reach.  I expect that you will continue to refine your skills and knowledge.  While I provide many training opportunities, the responsibility to perform is yours.  I want you to be at your best!  Other responsibilities include:

·        Work in and out of office to bring new households and businesses to our agency as clients.
·        Work with our team to reach sales goals and company promotions.
·        Use professionalism and various sales techniques to provide clients with customized quotes and insurance packages.
·        Maintain records of contacts, quotes and sales in the office system in order to track production.
·        Assist in marketing of our office and the products we have available.
·        Assist with marketing tasks and answer service calls providing our customers with the best experiences available in the industry.
·        Associates report to the office each day, on-time with a positive attitude and outlook ready to create remarkable customer interactions

Methods

·        Actively promote yourself as a representative for this agency and State Farm. 
·        Create opportunity by forming relationships with existing contacts and new contacts through networking opportunities.
·        Join one networking group of your choice.
·        Use our referral program to expand your customer base.
·        Maximize Investments on leads and marketing by using office procedures and point of sale conversations.

Hours

·        Hours vary slightly depending on the work week.  There will be occasional late evenings and Saturdays.  A standard 40 hour work week is typical with some scheduled out of office sales/ prospecting.  However, this is a sales position so the more prospecting that is done the more sales that will be generated 
·        As a sales representative, meeting your monthly targets are first and foremost.  You may have to make calls, schedule appointments and follow up with customers outside of normal business hours.
·        8:30-5:00 Mondays-Fridays

 
Compensation

·        This position is heavily incentivized.  Sales commissions are paid monthly and base salaries are paid semi-monthly.
·        Promotional and bonus compensation available as well as other incentives such as travel and time off.
·        Sales representatives are expected to exceed their base salaries in P&C premium.  

Employees are not always paid the same way at the same rates, however everyone has the opportunity to make as much money as they can through commission and bonus structures 
Compensation: $33,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
